MINNEAPOLIS (November 11, 2019) – MOBE is pleased to announce a new relationship with Horizon Healthcare Services, Inc., New Jersey’s largest health insurer. MOBE’s services are designed to improve health outcomes and reduce overall health care costs by helping individuals understand how their health care options and lifestyle choices work together as they pursue better health and well-being. On Nov. 1, MOBE became available to eligible Horizon members at no additional cost to program participants or their employers.
“Navigating the health care system and being healthy in general can be complicated and disconnected,” said MOBE co-founder Eric Hamborg. “Even with more access to information, specialized medicine, and technology, we’re not always healthier. Horizon recognizes all of these factors and sees the value of how MOBE can help.”
MOBE’s experienced health professionals, called Guides, will work with eligible participants one-to-one by phone, through an app, or both, focusing on connecting the dots between diet, sleep, movement, medication and happiness. These core elements are connected to all other aspects of a person’s health. When these are aligned, overall health is improved. The result is often better health and less time in doctors’ offices, which is a win for all involved.
“MOBE will help us empower our members to achieve their best health with tools and strategies that focus on areas too often neglected, but essential for overall health,” said Robert J. Franzoi, Vice President for Healthcare Management at Horizon. “MOBE’s personalized, relationship-based support brings all aspects of health into alignment to give our members a better overall experience and produce better health outcomes.”
MOBE Guides come to understand participants’ unique challenges and goals to support them in pursuing better health. A philosophy that includes understanding how health care options and lifestyle choices work together, helping participants make more informed decisions to maintain or improve their health.
“MOBE isn’t a replacement for members’ health care experiences, but rather an added value that can help people navigate their choices more effectively,” Hamborg says. “We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Horizon to improve the lives of their members.”
